Slow-roasted Quinces
Slow-roasted Quinces
- 1kg or 4 quinces
- 1&freac12; cup white wine, or water
- 3 cups sugar
- heat over to 150°
- wash and quarter quinces
- place in one layer in a baking dish
- pour in liquid
- sprinkle sugar over the top
- cover tightly
- bake for 4 hours, until juice is rich deep red
- serve warm or chilled, with juice
