ingredients

sieve 1 cup of flour, 1 tsp baking powder, rub in a nut of butter
mix with milk to a soft dough.
pour over it 1 small cup of sugar, 1 small cup of boiling water, 1 oz of butter, 1 Tblsp golden syrup, and the juice and peel of a lemon.
steam ½ gour without a lid on basin
