2007-09-27-Skiing

We, Adrian, Siân and Dad, had our school holiday ski at Mt Ruapehu(approve sites), staying at Tararua lodge.

During the weekend Mike, Mel, Ariana, Meretene, and Te Huia visited Whakapapa on Saturday afternoon

We had a good trip up, leaving early, thought we would ski at Turoa, but the field was closed due to high winds, but had a great afternoon on the snow at Whakapapa.

A perfect day. Skied high traverse, broken leg, west ridge, knoll, and valley.

A fantastic morning skiing, then we were able to meet Mike & Mel at the top of the Bruce and bring them up to the lodge for lunch on the chairlifts. We all had a fun play and slide in the snow after lunch out the back of the lodge.

A Tokaanu hot pools day, with a swim and a walk(approve sites) round the thermal area. We all had lunch in Turangi(approve sites).
